We have been working with local nursery Bizzyberry Nursery to get investment to support their delivery of Health and Wellbeing outcomes with our bespoke learning programme: BRAW VEG.
Primaries
Market garden volunteers are overseeing growing in outdoor raised beds and terrace containers to support curricular learning and biodiversity aims at Biggar Primary School. We have also supported the primary school to win £1,000 of growing materials from Westland Horticulture’s New Horizon Fund.
Secondaries
The market garden is seeking to help Biggar High School implement a new NPA in Allotment Growing this year (2024/25) with access to our site and expertise, seeds, equipment and seeking of funding opportunities to improve their own onsite growing capabilities.
